Cinnamon Swirl Cake

Yeah. Cake with cinnamon swirled through it. That’s a winner right there! It’s so simple, SO delicious, and so rewarding that I can see myself making this every week, again and again and again!

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/2 cup softened butter

1 cup +2 Tblspn sugar

2 Tblspn brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla powder or extract

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt


Preheat your oven to 350F and grease a medium sized baking dish.

In a small bowl mix together the 2 T sugar, 2 T brown sugar and 1 t ground cinnamon and set aside.

In a medium sized bowl cream together the butter and 1 cup of sugar. Then add in the vanilla. Beat in the eggs, one at at time. Then add in the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix and gradually add in the milk. Pour half the batter into the greased baking dish. Sprinkle over half of the cinnamon sugar mix, pour over the remaining batter and sprinkle over the remaining cinnamon sugar.

Depending on the size of your dish this cake can take 25-30 minutes to bake, and it might take longer in a loaf pan.

This cake and a cup of coffee and you’ll be in heaven.
